The mission of the Plymouth Alternative High School is to provide an individualized pathway for every student to remain engaged and graduate from high school.  We support students as they develop the academic, personal and social tools they need for success in high school and beyond.  We are committed to ensuring students graduate equipped with the skills, capacities, and dispositions necessary for success in 21st Century college and careers.

Alternative High School Program

A credit recovery pathway designed specifically for overage and under-credited students. The program runs on a semester system, allowing students to catch up on credits in 18-week classes. The program runs from 2:45 pm – 7:15 pm Monday through Thursday. Students have a college-like schedule, with classes that meet two days a week for ninety minutes. Standards-based classes utilize modified and condensed curricula to ensure that students are exposed to all required content.

Some services the AHS program offers are:

-Academic monitoring and tracking

-Daily check-ins and social-emotional support

-A more personalized learning environment

-Smaller teacher to student ratio

-School based counseling

-Academic progress reports

-MCAS Prep classes

-Frequent individual student/parent meetings

Dropout Re-Engagement

If you are a Plymouth resident between the ages of 15 and 20 years old who has left school, it is our goal to get you reconnected and back on track toward a high school diploma.  We have successfully helped many students come back and graduate.
