1:1 Chromebook Initiative
The Plymouth Public Schools is beginning a 1:1 Chromebook initiative during the school year 2020-2021. The purpose of our initiative is to promote equitable access to technology and enhance our learning environment. This will allow for seamless integration of technology under the direction of staff. Your school will communicate the distribution as devices are received.
We will distribute a Chromebook to each student to use for educational purposes during the school year if parents/guardians have agreed to our Loan of Technology Agreement.
Plymouth Public Schools purchases and owns the Chromebook devices. When a student leaves the district, the Chromebook must be returned to the school technology department.
HIGH SCHOOL DISTRIBUTION
This initiative started with Grade 11 students at Plymouth North and Plymouth South High School. Currently, devices are being distributed to Grade 9 and 10 students. This is currently an ongoing process.
MIDDLE SCHOOL DISTRIBUTION
The two middle schools have distributed devices to Grades 6, 7, and 8. This is currently an ongoing process.
