Science and Technology/Engineering Safety
Characteristically, science and technology/engineering education is hands-on. Safety in these classrooms is the #1 priority for students, staff, and parents. To ensure a safe classroom, a list of safety rules and procedures was developed and is provided to each student in grades 6-12 annually. This is the Student Safety Rules and Procedures Agreement, which is comprehensive for all students in all grades across the district. This rules and procedures agreement must be signed each year by both the student and a parent or guardian before a student can participate in a science and technology/engineering class. These rules and procedures must be followed at all times. Please note that not all guidelines may pertain to every student in his/her current science placement, but eventually as a student moves through all grade levels in this district, the guidelines will apply.
