As of September 2012, the school system has over 5000 networked machines that the Technology Department is responsible for maintaining. One difficulty in the maintenance of such a large number of machines is software compatibility and conflicts. Some software may not be compatible with other programs, and if installed, may adversely affect authorized installed software. In order to prevent conflicts with software, we are requesting the software on our networked machines as well as servers be installed ONLY by our technicians.

Student Data Privacy

Education is changing.  Technology is allowing information to flow beyond our schools, enabling new learning environments and new tools such as Google Apps for Education.  We must ensure that we maintain responsible privacy practices to safeguard our students' data.
