Happy Power Down Friday, Plymouth Public Schools! ❄️
As we wrap up the final Friday of January, it’s the perfect time to solidify those "Fresh Start" energy habits we’ve been working on all month. It’s chilly out there, but we can keep our schools cozy and efficient with just a few quick steps before heading home for the weekend.
🧤 January Spotlight: Stay Warm, Save Energy
This month, we’re focusing on heating efficiency. Before you leave today, please help us with the following:
- Seal the Heat: Double-check that all classroom windows and exterior doors are pulled tightly shut. Even a small crack lets the precious warmth escape!
- Layer Up: We hope you’re rocking your favorite school spirit hoodie or a cozy sweater today. Dressing for the season is the best way to stay comfortable without needing to crank the thermostat.
- The Friday Ritual: As always, give your workspace a quick "power sweep." Unplug chargers, turn off monitors, and—the most important step—flip those light switches to OFF.
💡 Why it Matters
By powering down every Friday, we aren't just saving electricity; we’re being great stewards of our community's resources. Let's head into the weekend knowing we did our part to keep PPS green (even when the ground is white!).
Have a wonderful, warm, and restful weekend!
