Ribbon cutting at PFN South Playroom.

Plymouth Public Schools and the Plymouth Family Network (PFN) officially cut the ribbon on the brand-new PFN South Playroom! 😊

Expanding on PFN’s North Playroom location, this vibrant new space offers free, engaging opportunities for children ages 0–6 and their caregivers to play, learn, and connect.

The celebration featured opening remarks from PECC Principal Denise Tobin, PFN Family Services Coordinator Kim Caple, and PFN parent Caitlin Canavan, highlighting the community impact of accessible early learning. State Senator Dylan Fernandes was also on hand to present a ceremonial check showcasing state support through Fair Share funding.

Reflecting on the milestone, Kim Caple shared: "A playroom is never just a playroom. It’s a place where a child might make their first friend, where a parent might find community, and where caregivers can ask questions, find resources, and feel welcome."

Following the ceremony, families explored the new playroom, snapped photos with Clifford the Big Red Dog, played outside, and enjoyed ice cream! 🍦
