Plymouth Public Schools is proud to announce the official launch of VIPPS: Volunteers in Plymouth Public Schools!
While our schools have long benefited from the incredible support of our student families, VIPPS is a new district-wide initiative designed to build a bridge between the broader Plymouth community and our classrooms. We are inviting retirees, local professionals, and community leaders to share their unique time, talents, and expertise with the next generation.
Why VIPPS?
The goal of this program is to harness the immense wealth of knowledge within the Plymouth community to support our students and staff. Whether you are a professional looking to mentor, a retiree with a passion for literacy, or a community member with a specialized skill, there is a place for you in our schools.
The Four Pillars of Support
The VIPPS program focuses on four key areas where community volunteers can make a lasting impact:
Academics: Helping students excel in literacy, math, and general classroom activities.
Mentorship: Providing guidance, career perspectives, and positive role modeling.
Enrichment: Sharing hobbies, specialized skills, or professional experiences to bring the curriculum to life.
Administrative: Supporting the vital "behind-the-scenes" work that keeps our offices and programs running smoothly.
Join Us!
We are thrilled to welcome the energy and expertise of our neighbors into our school buildings. This is more than just a volunteer program; it is an invitation to play an active role in the success of Plymouthβs students.
Interested in getting involved? For more information on how you can become a VIPPS volunteer, please contact your local school's principal to learn about specific needs.
