Plymouth South Honors Mr. Karl Braun with Stadium and Scoreboard Dedication

This past Friday night, our Plymouth South Panther community gathered under the lights for our first home football game against the Bridgewater-Raynham Trojans. While it was a tough battle on the field, the heart of the evening was dedicated to celebrating an incredible legacy. ❤

We officially dedicated our stadium and new, state-of-the-art scoreboard to Mr. Karl Braun. Mr. Braun devoted over 34 years to Plymouth Public Schools—serving as a physical education teacher at both Plymouth North and South for 21 years, Athletic Director at Plymouth South for 13 years, and answering the call to return as Plymouth North's AD on three separate occasions. Beyond his impressive career, Karl was revered for who he was as a person—a selfless, caring leader who always put kids first, steadfastly supported his coaches, and mentored countless staff members into future leaders.

Highlights from the evening included inspiring remarks from Principal Patty Fry and Superintendent Dr. Chris Campbell, a special state citation presented to the Braun family by State Representative Michelle Badger, touching tribute videos honoring Karl on the new scoreboard, the National Anthem performed by PSHS senior Daylen Fey, and Plymouth South Panther hype videos! Interactive live camera feeds brought to us by Plymouth EDTV also kept fans fired up all night. 🎥

Thank you to all who joined us to cheer on our football team and to celebrate Karl’s dedication, leadership, and lasting legacy in our community. 🥹
